Semi-permanent Makeup Guide

Semi-permanent makeup has been around for a long time, way before the Microblading trend! But what exactly is semi-permanent makeup and is it worth the hype?

Semi-permanent makeup is a form of cosmetic tattooing which allows you to have long lasting eyebrows, eyeliner and lip colour which will contour and define your natural features. The tattoo like procedure involves tiny pigments being placed beneath the surface to achieve depth and colour. We all know how painful tattoos are, but don’t worry about that as numbing cream is applied to the area for minimal pain with maximum results!

Semi-permanent makeup can last for many years and will all depend on your skin type, age and lifestyle. The colour of your tattoo will fade over time and if you are looking for the most natural results then we recommend a top up every 12-18 months to keep everything looking fresh.

All semi-permanent makeup requires aftercare and must be kept dry and not be touched for at least 48 hours after your treatment.

The colouring may look very dark at first depending on your treatment however after the 48 hours this will calm down, along with any redness, to reveal a natural looking finish. Your therapist will always go through the procedure with you from start to finish, including any downtime.

Semi-permanent makeup is perfect if you have a busy lifestyle and don’t want to spend that extra time in the mirror in the morning applying your makeup. With semi-permanent makeup you can wake up with fresh brows, eyes and lips without having to lift a finger and ensure that you will have no smudging or mess throughout the day!
