Glowing skin really does start from within and if your skin isn’t healthy and hydrated it will be very difficult to achieve that glass skin look without piling on endless amounts of highlighter.

If you look after your body from the inside as well as the outside then you will start to see changes in your skin. Changing your diet, exercise, lifestyle and skincare routine will improve your skins condition as well as do wonders for your mental health and wellbeing.

If you want natural looking, radiant and glowing skin then start incorporating these top tips into your daily routine and you will achieve the skin that you desire in no time.

Stay hydrated

Water is key to being hydrated and keeping your skin healthy so try and drink a minimum of 2 litres a day to ensure that your cells are getting enough hydration.

Get enough sleep

Whilst you sleep, your skin helps to repair itself so if you aren’t getting enough sleep through the night then this will show in your complexion. Pillow sprays and meditation is great for if you struggle to get a good night’s sleep.

Take vitamins

Vitamins are key to a glowing complexion and can be achieved through your diet or even through supplements if you want to make sure that you are getting your daily dose of recommended vitamins.

Daily exercise is great for giving your skin a boost and getting the blood pumping around your body. Even 30 minutes per day can make a huge difference to your skin and your overall energy.

Cleansing your skin thoroughly is key to glowing skin as how do you expect your skin to look healthy if it isn’t clean enough? Double cleansing is great as a single cleanse isn’t enough to remove all of the bad stuff from your skin.

Exfoliation is key to healthy skin as it removes any dead skin cells from your skin leaving a fresh complexion. There are 2 types of exfoliation –

Chemical Exfoliation – uses Alpha-Hydroxy Acids to chemically exfoliate your skin such as peels and serums, perfect for a really deep clean and should only be used once a week.
Physical Exfoliation – are products with a physical scrub that manually exfoliate your skin and should be used 2-3 times a week.

Vitamin C

Adding a Vitamin C product to your skincare routine will make a difference to your skin as it helps to fight free radical damage, lighten any dark spots and even out your skin tone.

Face Masks

Face Masks are a great way to brighten up your complexion and give you an instant boost. Charcoal and clay masks are great for drawing out impurities whereas sheet masks and hydrating masks are great for plumping and giving you that radiant complexion.

Applying SPF daily is a habit that we all need to get into. Wearing SPF (even on the cloudier days) will protect your skin from harmful rays which can damage your skin. SPF is highly important if you are using any chemical exfoliants or serums on your skin.

Adding a few drops of a luminizer or highlighter to your moisturiser or even your foundation will give you a glowy base for your makeup which will look the most natural.

Dewy Foundation

Using a dewy foundation rather than a matte foundation will allow your radiant skin to shine through as well as giving your skin some coverage.

We are a strong believer in that gorgeous makeup starts with amazing, healthy skin and looking after your body.
